Thomas Bluth
Thomas Bluth is a global business executive with extensive P&L leadership experience that includes serving as a Caterpillar Vice President and Corporate Officer for 13 years. Having lived and worked in the US, China, and France while working for Caterpillar, he developed a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and environments that helps him connect people, processes, strategy, and customers.
Tom’s scope of experience includes managing businesses ranging from $5B to $20B in revenue; leading and developing large global teams; overseeing manufacturing across Europe and Asia; managing governmental and regulatory affairs in Asia; and serving as Caterpillar’s corporate CTO.
As a Board Member & Advisor, Thomas helps transform and grow businesses, leveraging a background in engineering, law, technology, and international business. As an Adjunct Professor, he teaches Global Product Development.
Tom earned his MBA degree in Finance and Marketing, graduating from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business with honors. He received a J.D. degree from the Northwestern University School of Law, where he graduated cum laude. Thomas attended Iowa State University and completed a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, graduating with honors.
