Before joining the Trackunit board, Sam Hassan was the President and CEO of ZTR Control Systems and General Manager of the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) division. There he oversaw ZTR commercial priorities, financial strategies, and market innovation across the U.S., Canada and Europe.

Sam played a vital role in successfully bringing Trackunit and the IIoT division of ZTR together in 2021.

Prior to joining ZTR, Sam managed software development teams for General Motors (EMD) and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Having spent several years working as a lead software designer, developer and business systems analyst, he adeptly applied his software design acumen and entrepreneurial spirit to the creation of a widely recognized as a global tech company.

As a champion of customer-inspired solutions, Sam embraces technology and challenges employees to make a difference by adopting creative and collaborative approaches where customers are considered key partners.

Sam holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Western University.
