See how Trackunit Service Management helps reduce repair costs and downtime. Learn how to set up service plans, automate alerts, and track completion.

Trackunit Service Management helps reduce repair costs and eliminate downtime by giving you complete control over fleet maintenance. In this Mastering Manager session, we explore how to create service plans, assign them to machines, set up automated notifications, and monitor service activity across your organization.

Build smarter service plans

Service Management allows you to group multiple maintenance tasks into a single plan. You can trigger services based on machine hours, distance, or calendar dates. To make plans more flexible, use recurring settings:

  • Fixed recurrence resets the schedule whether or not the last service was completed.
  • Offset recurrence begins counting only after the last service is marked complete.

Each service can include OEM documentation like checklists or manuals. This ensures consistency and helps technicians follow the right steps every time.

Apply plans in bulk

Use the Assignments tab to assign service plans to your machines. Instead of scrolling through a long list, filter by group, site, model, or customer. This speeds up the process and ensures plans go to the correct equipment.

If OEM-recommended service plans are available, they’ll appear automatically. You can choose to apply them with one click.

Stay on schedule with notifications

To avoid missed maintenance, set up email notifications for overdue or upcoming services. Just choose your assets, select the service state to track, and assign recipients. You can even add custom messages to clarify actions or responsibilities.

These alerts help teams act before issues cause delays or downtime.

Manage services in the field

Service tasks can be booked or marked as complete directly from the asset view. Add notes, upload photos, and specify service dates—all from inside Trackunit Manager or the Trackunit Go app.

Even if a service is performed before being logged, the system lets you backdate it. This helps ensure accurate tracking of future intervals based on actual machine hours or distance.
