For Alberto Franceschini, Sales Director at Jekko, building a global dealer network is more than sales. It’s about relationships, trust, and seamless support across borders. A belief that Jekko and Trackunit have in common.
“My role is to find, for every country, the right person, the right company to deal with,” says Franceschini. “This gives me a lot of nice opportunities to meet a lot of people around the world, understand their needs, understand their culture. And this, for me, is the best job that I can do.”
When it came to choosing a telematics partner to serve its global network, the decision was easy.
“We chose Trackunit because, first, they are very professional,” says Franceschini. “From the beginning, Trackunit listened, understood what we wanted, and made it very easy.”
What made Trackunit the clear choice is its integration-ready platform, ease of use, and market adoption.
“Their properties are extremely easy to integrate with our system,” says Franceschini. “It is worldwide recognized as one of the best tracking systems. So for us, the decision is very easy to make, and we are very happy to work with them.”
While many competitors opt to build proprietary systems, Jekko takes a different path. “A few years ago, we were thinking to go in the same direction,” he says. “But once we got in touch with Trackunit, we understood everything was ready and already being used by most rental companies.”
In the lifting business, support isn’t optional. It’s vital. When cranes are on site and downtime occurs, users need fast answers. That’s where J-Link, powered by Trackunit, plays a pivotal role.
“The role of Trackunit, or as we call it J-Link in our cranes, is to reduce the distance between the dealers and the end users,” says Franceschini. “Sometimes the customer, if there is a problem on their crane, they feel alone. They don’t know how to contact the dealer or even how to communicate.”
“With this system, we want to cut the distance between the end user and the dealer, and, of course, between the manufacturer and the dealer. This is our goal, and we’re sure we’ll achieve it with Trackunit.”
Known as a bold innovator in the mini crane market, Jekko sees connectivity as a natural extension of its product vision. “It’s natural for us that bringing the future depends not only on us, but also on our suppliers and partners,” says Franceschini.
He sees a clear cultural fit with Trackunit. “Jekko and Trackunit have the same DNA. It is continuously innovating,” he says. “Nobody knows where we can go, but of course, we can do great things together in the field of innovation and offer something new to the market.”
What does this look like in practice? Faster service, fewer disruptions, and empowered customers.
“Imagine a customer that is working on a jobsite and is struggling with a problem and he doesn’t know how to fix it,” says Franceschini. “What does he have to do, call someone?
“We already know, thanks to Trackunit, how to manage the problem. Because of the error data, we know exactly what it is. We already offer a solution, quicker, faster.”
That speed and clarity is the difference between a crane waiting on-site and one that’s back to work in minutes.
Jekko is a global leader in the design and manufacture of mini cranes and lifting equipment. Known for its cutting-edge innovation, compact design, and international reach through a robust dealer network, Jekko is redefining how the lifting industry serves customers on-site and in real time.
