  • Collaboration with industry OEMs, supply-chain and development partners provides specific scope to increase productivity through Japanese cultural norms

Chi Sen Gay, SVP APJ Region, Trackunit, stated, “Today’s technology must be intuitive, working without complexity in a way that is instinctive to the local culture. The investment in Japanese language versions of Trackunit Manager and Trackunit Go are vital developments both for those equipment companies exporting their technology to Japan, as well as Japan’s world-class construction machine manufacturers as they seek to build-in greater reliability, efficiency and more feature-rich solutions for their global customers. We aim to ensure a digitally native and culturally relevant experience for users of the system.”

Trackunit Manager provides easy and efficient fleet management of construction machines and equipment. The software provides the big picture displaying all fleet assets on a dynamic map, at the same time keeping a close eye on the detail of individual machines, tracking their every move. Trackunit Manager provides a wide range of customizable features from access control to added layers of safety and security, and direct support for service managers and technicians to maximize productivity.

Hidekiyo Takehara, Regional Director of Trackunit Japan, said: “With some of the best known construction equipment brands in the market, Japan has a heritage in quality engineering and innovation. Trackunit’s introduction of Japanese language versions of its fast growing Manager and Go applications recognizes the importance not only of Japan’s domestic market, but also its global influence on technology trends and adoption.”

Designed to work with smartphones using up-to-date iOS and Android platforms, the Trackunit Go app is a powerful service designed for mobile fleet managers. Trackunit Go conveniently enables users to work smarter when away from their desks, putting the management of on-site and off-site machines in the palm of mobile users’ hands. The data-driven app helps fleet management as well service technicians to boost equipment uptime and efficiency, e.g., by reporting issues and organizing maintenance.
