January 19, 2023, Chicago, IL – Global IoT solutions provider Trackunit will launch a new tool next month at The ARA Show 2023 that will enable equipment owners to reduce the cost of ownership of their machines and boost their bottom line.

The next-generation Service Management tool will launch on the Trackunit platform and will enable comprehensive pre-filled service plans directed from OEMs to be shared across the fleet owner network. The tool connects the construction industry for a scalable and collaborative service process that can drive down costs for fleet owners providing easy access to OEM parts and service plans.

“This is an incredible step for our customers and the industry,” said Dave Swan, Senior VP of Products at Trackunit. “The problem we’ve had as an industry is a disconnection between OEMs, the rental fleet, and contractors and we’re building a bridge as an enabler at the center of the ecosystem.

“We’re connecting the OEMs to the fleet owners like spokes in the same wheel with all this data coming together to give visibility to the entire ecosystem in real-time,” he said. “It’s providing live and accurate run-hours tied to OEM recommended service intervals and we can’t wait to unveil it at ARA.”

Swan added that the tool would also dovetail with a new My Network app which will enable fleet managers to quickly diagnose and remotely resolve up to 75% of of device-related issues, maximizing fleet connectivity .

“When you add that on top of the service management solution, it’s like a ‘one-two punch’ to ensure that you extract maximum value from the platform,” he said.

These are key capabilities that directly support the industry in its battle against downtime, said Trackunit CEO Soeren Brogaard.

“We’ve highlighted how telemetry can bring significant benefits and we’ve also got numerous use cases demonstrating how insights directly reduce downtime,” said Brogaard. “We will continue to make sure our products are always underpinned by this basic premise.

“We’re convinced the benefits that flow, such as bottom-line costs and sustainability advances, not only make this the best way for our industry to move forward, they make it the only way for our industry to move forward.”
